LOL, great thanks. Now I have Just Can’t Get Enough stuck in my head!
Haha. My mission is accomplished! I have a serious problem with songs getting stuck in my head… so I thought I’d try to unburden them on to other people 🙂
Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon…..
If I knew that this post would lead to people planting the world’s most annoying songs in my head then I never would have written it!
Haha, you get sophisticated songs stuck in your head. Why do I always end up with things like the hamster dance? Though, now I have bits of A Hard Day’s Night in my head… 😉
Ha, well I have to be completely honest… if I’d started this list a day earlier then the first song on it would have been Oops, I Did It Again by Britney Spears. Umm…
None of those are too bad. I thought for sure you were going to say Barbie Girl by Aqua, then…. Oh shit…. NO!!!!
Well now you’ve really gone and done it…
Woh, woh, woh-ooo… Now sing it with me! 🙂
I hate you so much
🙂
Lol! Now *that* would have made this list complete!…
I often get songs stuck in my head as well. I’ve never gotten The Final Countdown out of my head. That song is awful but so catchy.
Ah, c’mon, don’t do that… that’s going to stay with me for days now!
Hey, it could be worse. I could have mentioned Who Let The Dogs Out 😉
Haha. That’s just plain mean.
I call these ear-worms 😉
Excellent. I will have to steal that phrase!
I was on a I Wanna Dance With Somebody kick a few weeks back … and now, thanks to you, I suspect I shall be stuck on it a few hours more. Ack! 🙂
Glad to have helped out 😉
I just got I Wanna Dance with Somebody in my head too. Not even Eiffel 65’s Blue is strong enough to counteract Whitney Houston’s tune. /facepalm (Why did we read this post again?) 😉
This is exactly what i was hoping would happen. Does that make me evil?
Nefarious, definitely nefarious.
I think I like that. It can be my new alter ego.
(Actually, it sounds like it should be the name of a villain in a superhero movie)
Nefarious Orange, he’ll make you rhyme with his diabolical schemes even if it kills you.
(because rhyming with orange is impossible)
Hello! Love that song. Any of these titles would make a great writing prompt. Not bad tunes to get stuck on— except the last one. Dang. I don’t thank you for that!
It’s a dangerous and slippery slope! I can only apologise…
I have a cure for you – but it’s not without potentially serious side-effects. I was told about it and it definitely works. You sing “Mickey” (the 1982 Toni Basil classic) to yourself. It will get rid of the earworm but it does risk the truly horrendous result that you then have “Mickey” stuck in your head.
That’s a bit like when a doctor says ‘this won’t hurt a bit’…
Great post, now I’ve got Son of a preacher man in my head.
There are worse songs… but I’m glad to have passed on at least part of the problem 🙂
I ‘suffer’ so badly from this! I can have a song stuck in my head for days! And for some reason I can sometimes wake up with a song in my head for no apparent reason!
It should be recognised as an illness!
It’s like the beginning of Iron Man 3 where they snuck in Eiffle 65’s Blue. I wasn’t prepared to defend myself from the mentally invaisive tune. I Wanna Dance with Somebody is gonna be in my head all day now. /sigh
I can only apologise for the song implant 😉
You should do this for a full month and make a playlist out of it…:)
Now that’s a really good idea!
p.s. Son of a Preacher Man is a re-occurring “song stuck in my head”, and has been for a long, long time, as well as a few Journey tunes, embarrassingly so…
* Hey Jude. For the last week, Enough already.
Oof. A week. That’s tough… my sympathies.
Naaaaa naa na, na-na-na-naaaaaaaaaa…. all together now!
That’s the only part stuck in my head sadly.
Yep, thought so!
Night of a 1000 dances. Yeeeek
haha
In what year was this post written… 😉
Ha. What can I say… I have ‘classic’ tastes!
Ha 😀 Check out this WordPress blog: http://theshovel.com.au/2013/05/30/man-spent-15-years-with-celine-dion-song-stuck-in-his-head/?utm_source=feedly
That’s just brilliant. And scary!
I’m still laughing at John Zande’s comment. Barbie Girl by Aqua. Hilarious!
John is a bad man.
Lol!
Inspired by you I have started making this a weekly theme…the first post 2 weeks prior I credited and linked you, FYI 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!
That’s very cool… thanks! I’ve been away from here for a while so I missed it. I’ll have to go back an take a look… 🙂

Nice to see you around again…
